She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9, 1983. Her first job after leaving school was working in the field of real estate. This is where she first met Tarek El-Moussa, her future husband. This couple enjoyed great success until the 2008 stock market crash which saw real estate developers home flippers, house flippers and other property owners went broke. Tarek El Moussa was nearly wiped out due to the 2008 market crash. The couple went from a $6,000 monthly home to a $750/month rental. Slowly, their business as well as the economy overall recovered. HGTV: Rise to Fame Tarek had a trusted friend to create the audition tapes for HGTV in 2011 that was a video of him and Christina flipping the entire home. Pie Town Productions executives received the tape. They fell in love with Tarek as well as Christina. The couple signed an agreement in 2012 with HGTV. The show "Flip of Flop" began its run on April 13, 2013. Between 2013 until 2017, the show ran 92 episodes in seven seasons. Christina and Tarek acquired properties located in Orange County that were usually homes with a middle-income. Then they spent a few weeks renovating the house in order to make it possible for them to sell the house into a profitable business. Flip of Flop was launched in the month of April 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the show was a hit for 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek acquired properties, mostly houses with a moderate income located in Orange County. After spending some time renovating the home and selling it, they decided to flip it for a return. Tarek concentrates on renovation and demolition while Christina is focused on designing while also making sure all goes according to plan.
